The mission of the International Wine and Food Society is to bring together men and women whose goal is to promote critical understanding and intelligent enjoyment of wine and to encourage and sustain creative preparation of food and its discriminating consumption within one's community. Our Society in the Americas consists of Branches that have many differences in composition, as to numbers as well as memberships, and each branch exercises independence in the way it operates. Yet we create a sense of unity and fellowship that is the envy of many other societies
